I visited Southwell Dental Care for the first time last week and was very impressed walking into the comfortable waiting room, far from the usual spartan dentist/doctors receptions. The staff too were welcoming and helpful. I saw Dr Sam Banna for my check up and his friendly cheerful manner immediately put me at ease. I also saw Leah Collingwood who did an excellent job of showing how Invisalign could improve my very uneven teeth which I’ve long been self conscious of and it’s something I’ll certainly consider. All together my experience at SDC was pleasant and relaxing and in future I won’t be nervous of visiting the dentist. Thank you all.

My mother was looked after very kindly by Sam and his assistant. She had a few problems with getting comfortable in the dentist's chair, as she has curvature of the spine, due to osteoporosis, however Sam was able to make her teeth feel so very much more comfortable. The whole atmosphere of the dental practice was like a Spa: lovely calming fragrance, soft furnishings, warm and welcoming. I was really happy with my experience today. This was my first checkup for ~13 years, so it was unfamiliar territory for me. I was made to feel welcome from the moment I walked into the reception area. Dr. Juma got to know me and my medical history first, then carried out a very thorough examination. She then explained her findings in a very clear way and discussed options for ongoing care and explained the plans they offer, without making me feel pressured.
Dr. Juma made me feel comfortable as soon as I entered the examination room (not easy, as I am autistic, have ADHD and suffer from C-PTSD).
All of the staff in the surgery were friendly, polite and efficient.
It's clear that the surgery team as a whole genuinely care about the service they provide and I'm happy that I've chosen Southwell Dental Care - it is definitely worth 45 minute drive for me.
Dr. Juma made me feel comfortable as soon as I entered the examination room (not easy, as I am autistic, have ADHD and suffer from C-PTSD).

This was my first time to Southwell Dental Care and honestly could not recommend them enough. Yesterday I had an appointment with Sarah the hygienist at Southwell Dental Care. I thought Sarah and her assistant, sorry don’t know what her name is friendly and efficient. I have quite sensitive teeth and previously have found this procedure very painful but with Sarah this was not the case. Would definitely recommend her to anyone having this done.
