“I’ve been a patient of Southwell Dental Care for many years now, and since Jyoti Parmar took over there’s been a transformation. My new dentist, (Wisam) is absolutely brilliant, and is everything you’d expect a dentist would be. I saw him for the first time about a month ago And we discussed a plan to move forward with my teeth, and the two occasions I’ve seen him since has been the best I’ve felt about my teeth upon leaving any dentists surgery. I wish this take over had happened five years ago.”

Great implements to practice, lots of great new services on offer, a well needed refresh for the Dental practice.
However asking for deposits for appointments that aren’t gonna happen for six months doesn’t sit well with me.

Regarding deposits — we completely understand it can feel unfamiliar, and we appreciate you raising it. We ask for a deposit to secure your appointment slot, giving you the reassurance that your time with the clinician is confirmed and protected. It also allows us to plan effectively and ensure we’re always available for our patients when they need us. The deposit is of course fully applied to the cost of your treatment.

I've been a patient at this practice for several years, but recently needed a filling replaced. The dentist, Sam, was very kind and professional and made the experience much less unpleasant than it could have been.
A couple of comments I could make - the large TV screen in the reception showing continuous ads for teeth-related treatments. Anyone of a nervous disposition may wish to divert their eyes. More soothing images would be preferable. Parking is now very difficult due, I expect, to increased staff and appointments, but I guess there's nothing that could be done about that.
All-in-all a fairly pleasant experience for a visit to the dentist. I guess the new management have hit it about right.

Rawand Juma is a caring dentist. My wife has dementia which clearly doesn't make her an easy patient to deal with and Rawand treats her so well with great patience.
I cannot, however, make such a comment without mentioning both Rawand's assistant and the Reception staff, all of whom are caring people.

Update of Review

I have been three times to have a new crown and a filling. The treatment was once again undertaken by Rawand Juma & her colleague.

This is by far the best dental treatment I have ever experience over 73 years. This is because from the reception through to the treatment I was welcomed and put at ease. Rawand provides very clear advice on teeth care, offered me choice throughout the processes and regularly checked my levels of comfort.

Rawand also provided great advice relating to flossing.

I am delighted to have such great dental care.

Met a nice lady who explained my treatment thoroughly and with options.
Feel happy to return next week.
